Being Bodies
Being Bodies will be offered next in September, 2010
Being Bodies: Making peace with our bodies and ourselves through meditation.
Many women believe that there is something fundamentally wrong with themselves and with their bodies. Being Bodies focuses on transforming this belief through meditative, reflective, and interpersonal practices. Rather than being at war with ourselves – impatient, critical and punishing, we will cultivate being curious, open, and kind- making peace with ourselves.
This eight-week program will include:
* Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation and other liberating practices
* Support in establishing a daily meditation practice
* Guided opportunities to reflect and share our experience
Jennifer is a clinical counselor and meditation teacher with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology who has specialized in the field of disordered eating for sixteen years.
